Independant Study: Walt Disney Concert Hall - Frank Gehry

Designed by Frank Gehry, the Walt Disney Concert Hall is one of the most significant architectural pieces in its time.

The building possesses a number of problems regarding the amount of light it gains and the possibility of thermal problems surrounding its nearby surfaces. One of the major issues concerning the building was the amount of heat the building was getting. It was possible that the rise of temperature was caused by the materials used to structure this architectural piece. An inferred thermometer gun was used to test the temperature of the building and found that only some areas of the building had major problems with bad insulation. This was evident when they recounted melted plastic cones found by one of the employees.
